With summer and bikini time coming up I started noticing again how many woman don't feel satisfied with their bodies. Such a shame and totally not necessary but I think many professional people and men in general have already tried to convince us that we are beautiful as we are, no? So why do we keep on telling ourselves that our belly is too fat, our legs too short, our breasts too big, small, strange,... our noses too wide, hips too curved or our hair too curly or too straight,...
Year after year the same articles appear in magazines when spring/summer season is in the air and bikini season is coming up. Articles with facts and figures about what woman don't like about their bodies. It's like every year we are reminded of the fact that we are so hard on ourselves. Unfortunately I don't often read articles where we are presented with practical information on how we could do better. I'm not claiming I have the perfect answer but I would like to tell you how I overcame the negativity about myself and started enjoying my body for what it was.
First of all I read a scientific article about why women's hips and thighs contain more fat than men. (bit.ly/2x9pEMx) It has simply to do with the fact that our bodies are designed for reproduction. We need the fattier area's for lactation and protection of the foetus etc. In the article is also described that the fat bellies of men don't have any purpose at all and actually are very dangerous. So knowing this you could ask yourself why you should even be bothered with a bigger tummy or thighs. It just makes us a real woman! Not to talk bad about men or put them is discredit but it's actually us woman who should tell men that their fatted bellies aren't good and they should do something about it! ;-)
Because of bad follow up of doctors I suffered from leaky gut and ended with a long list of food products I couldn't eat anymore. 5-6 years ago there weren't many people who really knew about food allergies so I was left alone in my search for a better health. I decided to keep searching for answers and those led me to many different, often alternative, treatments like theta healing and energetic bodywork.
On top of my health issues I lost 4 people who were very close to me in a short period of time and this almost shut my system down completely. My body wasn't functioning anymore, my mind was doing overtime and I wasn't able to see what was happening to me.
It took me about 2 years before I understood that to get better I had to really start listening to my body and mind and accept that life is more than looks or money or status. Today I'm still following treatment for my fibromyalgia (bit.ly/2GQEIyh) which is getting better week by week. But the most important thing I did to start loving myself again was the confrontation with myself and getting rid of my emotional blockages. It's during these processes that I learned to look at myself in a different way and understand the real importance of life.
I really hope that by telling some personal facts about my journey you might think about looking different at yourself and take a first step towards loving yourself more. I can assure you that life is so much more fun once you get that click about what's important in this world and what's not. My body is still not functioning at levels it used to and it probably never will but by having to slow down and accepting what I still can do it gave me such an important gift and made me love life even more.
If you feel like you could need some more personal help with learning how to love yourself again just e mail me and I will be glad to help you find your own beautiful and true self.

I'm so happy to finally be here, writing you! It's always exciting to do something for the first time and I've been looking forward to this first blogpost. I would like to take you on a journey and explore the many wonderful things our planet has to offer. Whether that is an inspirational story from somebody, a great product you should try or a recipe that's just too yummy not to make yourself. If you've read my bio (if you didn't, check this link www.healthinez.be/about-me.html) you know that I have had quite a journey already which led me into learning a lot about healthy food, a healthy lifestyle and exercises, spirituality and most of all learning to love yourself again. I have tried different treatments for my fibromyalgia where my eyes and heart really opened towards our human possibilities.
I used to be someone who was mad about so many things, often little, unimportant things. They consumed me and created stress. And it wasn't until I hit a very big wall that I understood it was me that was holding me back, making me unhappy,...not the rest of the world.
I almost feel blessed for the difficulties on my path because they led me to such a better and happier life. They've given me opportunities to go forward and figure out what I love, say no to things I don't like, enjoy the smallest things in life and most of all create this website and fulfill my need to help others getting back on track. With Healthinez I want to be a guided path that you can step on and learn from, explore and share with others. So we can build a loving community of likeminded people that care for each other and give support when needed. Because we all have less good days when we feel down or alone, suffer from pain, physically or emotionally or just need a hug or kind words.
I'm a big believer in strong connections with other people and I would love to try and change the mind of those who still function on the idea of individuality and walk over people to reach their own goals. We only have 1 planet and we all get the gift of 1 life so wouldn't it be great to spend that life in a happy way, sharing all the good and helping when in need. You all know the phrase "We only live once so make the most of it!" but I heard a different version that I like a lot more "We live every day and we only die once" Meaning that you should make the most of every day given so on your last day of life you can look back with a smile on your face and love in your heart.
Let's spread some warm love and good feelings and I hope to hear from you in the comments below. If there is any topic you have questions about or want to know something specific please e mail me email@example.com or write it in the comment section below.
